Showing at Blue Sky Gallery - The Fifth Decade show

Blue Sky Gallery in Portland, Oregon is celebrating its 50th year with exhibitions highlighting artists who showed at the gallery since its inception. This month is the final iteration, showing artists exhibited between 2015 and 2025. That includes me!

The whole show is a fascinating look at how photography and the gallery's curatorial choices have changed over a decade, and there are some truly stunning photographs included in this collection.

Each artist was offered the chance to show three images from their original exhibit, plus three newer images of their choice. I decided on three of my favorite photos from the Lusty Lady series, which showed at Blue Sky in 2024. For the three newer images I chose some photos of Banjo - a dancer at Mary's Club - that I had shot only a week previous to submitting, so they are extremely fresh!
